The latest report by OpenSignal is already out. The report says it tested more than half a million devices from January to March of 2017.

Our measurements for 4G availability, which tracks how often 4G subscribers in a country have access to an LTE signal, is gradually improving around the world. In some countries in East Asia LTE signals are as ubiquitous as 2G and 3G signals, while in the vast majority of countries we examined, our testers were able to connect to LTE more than 60% of the time. – OpenSignal
The highlight of the report includes two interesting part. First is the 4G availability in the countries they tested.
South Korea tops the list having 96.8% 4G coverage. It is followed by Japan, Norway and United States of America.
Second is the 4G Speed. While SoKor tops the list of the 4G coverage, it is Singapore who has the fastest 4G speed as of today. An average of 45Mbps shows up in the report.

It is then followed by South Korea (43Mbps), Hungary (42Mbps), Norway (41Mbsp), Netherlands (38Mbsp), and our mighty country, the Philippines is no. 5 from the bottom, having an average of 8Mbps 4G speed.

In terms of 4G coverage, the Philippines was reported to have already reached 52%.

Methodology used by OpenSignal
According to OpenSignal, they collected this report from the data that is collected from consumer smartphones.
As opposed to drive-test data, which attempts to simulate what a user might experience by using the same devices to measure network performance in a small number of locations, we take our measurements from millions of smartphones owned by regular people who have downloaded OpenSignal’s apps. – OpenSignal
Finally, if you want to check 4G coverage in your city, you can go to OpenSignal.com. Here’s a snapshot of the LTE coverage in Makati.
