Samsung Galaxy Note FE (Fan Edition) launches in South Korea

Samsung Electronics announces the refurbished version of the discontinued Samsung Galaxy Note 7, and it will be called the Samsung Galaxy Note FE (Fan Edition). The handset is priced at KRW 699,600, that translates to USD 611, and the sale starts on July 7.

All of the limited 400,000 units are made by the unused parts of the Note 7. However, additional details have been revealed by the Korean company that the launch of this phone is an eco-friendly project that minimizes the waste of resources by utilizing the parts from the Galaxy Note 7. The design and features are very identical with few differences like the UX (TouchWiz), same as the recently announced Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. Further, the battery downgrades to 3,200 mAh capacity, that includes an 8-point safety check with multiple safety enhancements.

The fiasco on the South Korean manufacturer became an instant lose of about a dramatic $17 billion (USD) on their revenue. To recall, Samsung stopped the production of the Galaxy Note 7 on October 10, 2016, when some of the users complaint on overheating and suddenly, exploding.

Moving on, Samsung will announce whether they want to release the phone outside the country. One thing that, perhaps, they considering is the announcement of the anticipated Galaxy Note 8, that’s due to release on Q3 2017.
