ZTE outs Blade V7 Plus, outdated specs with slightly larger battery in tow

ZTE launched the Blade V7 and Blade V7 Lite last 2016’s MWC and the successor, the Blade V8 at this year’s MWC and CES. Oddly, a new variant under the “V7” family, the ZTE Blade V7 Plus has been launched in Russian Federation and the island continent of Australia, and obviously, it is the upgraded version of the original handset, hence the moniker “Plus” on its name.

The size and storage remains identical to last year’s phone, at 5.2-inch display and 16GB expandable memory, paired with 2GB RAM. On a more ridiculous side, the chipset remains at the outdated 1.3Ghz Mediatek MT6753 and the Android version stucked at v6.0 “Marshmallow”. Fingerprint sensor is now located at the back portion of the phone, below the 13-megapixel sensor with dual flashes. Front camera is stationary at 5-megapixel. There is no improvement on the features.

Speaking of battery, the phone powers a larger 2,540 mAh capacity that offers 9 hours of talk time and 220 hours of standby time. The ZTE Blade V7 Plus is now available in both countries and comes in two color options: Platinum Gray and Ion Gold (exclusively distributed by JB Hi-Fi).
