Now celebrating 14 years, Smart Padala reports that they already have more than 26,000 agents nationwide. Most of these agents are sari-sari stores.
The service is able to reach even super remote communities and barangays located outside the city centers. This enables convenience of financial transactions for the majority of the Filipinos around the country.

How to become a Smart Padala Agent
A barangay business permit and a valid ID is what they need to become an authorized agent. And a minimum of x amount and you are good to go. “Padala” can be as small as P100 to as big as P100,000.
No franchise fee is required to start this kind of business.

Nanay Lina de la Rosa, a sari-sari store owner from Montalban Rizal, started her Smart Padala business four (4) years ago with just a little amount. Today her daily transaction is averaging 50 “Padala” daily. She shared that the smallest “Padala” she had was P300 and the biggest was P20,000.
Nanay Lilia Ramos has been with Smart Padala for nine (9) long years. She became an authorized agent in 2013. She also mentored Nanay Lina to become a Smart Padala agent in their barangay.
Smart Padala rates start at only P30 for the first P1,000.
Smart Padala is a domestic mobile remittance. The majority of “Padala” is coming from the city to the provinces.
