LG Honored With Best of Innovation for the 8th Straight Year at the CES

A daunting challenge to do is to be a trailblazer of technical progress. It is an achievement to do so successfully for nearly a decade. The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) honors LG Electronics (LG) with a number of 2021 CES Innovation Awards for innovative technology and design developments. LG will win scores of CES Innovation Awards, the most awards ever for LG, led by two Best of Innovation Awards for its LG OLED TV technology and LG InstaView Door-in-Door Refrigerator technology.

CES 2021 marks the eighth year in a row that all LG OLED TVs, sound bars, home appliances, premium smartphones and more have won the CES Innovation Awards, the official recognition of the industry for the most innovative products released at CES, the global innovation level.

LG OLED TV technology is again being honored with the CES Best of Innovation Award for CES 2021, this time in the category of gaming. An unrivaled home entertainment experience, delivering the darkest blacks, most realistic colors and an infinite contrast, LG, the undisputed world leader in OLED TVs, has built. LG Home Appliances won the CES Best of Innovation Award for the LG InstaView Door-in-Door Refrigerator technology for the first time, invented by LG to enable consumers to see inside while keeping food fresh, finding the perfect balance between form and function. The refrigerator is also fitted with revolutionary voice recognition technology from the manufacturer, so it is just a voice order to open the door with arms full of groceries.

New LG home appliances anchored by multiple LG InstaView Door-in-Door refrigerators will win the CES 2021 Innovation Awards, the WashTowerTM single-unit laundry system that takes up half the floor space when addressing ultra-large loads, the LG CordZeroThinQ Vacuum, and other laundry and air care solutions to be revealed at CES, including the PuriCare Portable Air Purifier.

The ground-breaking LG WING, the world’s first 5G swivel smartphone, is leading LG’s numerous CES Innovation Awards for mobile devices. The first smartphone in LG’s Explorer Project offers a compelling, modern multi-screen experience on the latest 5G networks, with a 6.8-inch P-OLED FullVision edge-to-edge screen that swivels clockwise to rotate 90 degrees and shows a second 3.9-inch OLED monitor. The LG VELVET, packed with a 6.8-inch OLED Cinematic FullVision monitor, flexible cameras, and powerful 5G speeds at an outstanding value, also received the CES 2021 Innovation Prize.

For 2021, market leaders and rising stars will come together digitally on January 11-14 to pioneer future change driving the ever-evolving tech industry. The first all-digital CES 2021 will be a platform for product release, engaging with global brands and shaping the future of the industry, enabling the tech community to securely share technologies and present the products that will form our future.
