Design and Build
Sound Platform 2 has a classic design that will immediately feel home and find its place in your condo or home office. Available in black and white, but black looks natural and not a dirt-magnet. In an office environment, white will be great though. The wooden casing makes it a light weight sound systems.
Controls are all digital, although its not soft touch but provides ease in using it.

Pairing your Bluetooth player
There is dedicated button for this feature, it takes few seconds to pair any BT player on to the Sound Platform 2, I paired my iPhone 5, even my Macbook Air without any trouble. Once your BT device is paired, it is memorized by the Sound Platform so that next time you want to play your music from that BT device, all you need to do is to put the Source of Sound Platform into Bluetooth mode, and then connect your BT device to it and play and enjoy your music.
Going Dual-Streaming
Having two speakers is better than one. Sound Platform 2 has provision of connecting two SP2, pairing is done by pressing UQ3 button for 4 seconds until the L and R icon displays and continue flashing, once its paired, L & R icons will stop, that signals that the two SP2 is now paired. You now have two powerful speakers that plays wirelessly via Bluetooth.
SP2 Dual-Streaming works only on music played via BT. SP2 has FM radio and Line In input, when you switch to these modes, only one sound system works.
Conclusion
In the whole one week of playing music, tuning in to FM radio stations, playing MP3 from my iPod nano, streaming my MP3s from my Macbook Air, I have enjoyed so much. The sound is produces real crisp sound, base is balanced so with the treble. Putting the volume to the maximum will not break the sound apart. What is missing are the sound controls like some people want to play around with base and treble. UQ3’s sound enhancement is not noticeable, is just me. 🙂 You can play and pause music, even move to the next track within the speaker system, there is button for that. Same buttons used for changing frequency of the FM radio. There are some intermittent signal when playing via Bluetooth, so better put your player close to the speaker systems. There’s a tray in front provided for this purpose. SP2 would have been better if a remote control is provided, with this absence you need to reach for the SP2 everytime you need to change feature like changing music source and turning it on and off.
SoundFreaq Sound Platform 2 is now available in leading stores like Astroplus, Astrovision, Beyond the Box, Digital Hub, Digital Walker, iStudio, Mobile 1, Quicksound, TechSavvy. It is available for an SRP of P9,950.
