Couple of days ago, we were invited to a media launch of this cool product called Xylitol. The event was held at the Sofitel in Manila.
The Xylitol team brough into the country Professor Kauko K. Makinen from the Institute of Dentistry of the University of Turku, Turku, Finland to share the many benefits of xylitol. Basically for the improvement of oral hygiene.
Xylitol is known as an important supplement in the prevention of dental caries like tooth decay and cavities more so with improvement of oral hygiene. It promotes dental benefits like – reduction of plaque quantity, reduction on the numbers of the most cariogenic bacteria, promotion of the development of a less cariogenic oral flora, reducing the overall adhesivity of the plaque and aiding in the remineralization process.
In the press briefing, we were given samples of the product and comparing it to the local brands available – Xylitol taste better, it is not very sweet and price is competitive as well.
I’ve seen this in the grocery stores like Waltermart and Watsons. So give it a try now!
