On October 21, a low-cost all-around tablet was introduced by realme in the Philippines.

The realme Pad has a 10.4-inch WUXGA+ immersive display with up to 2000×1200 resolution, Dolby Atmos Quad Speakers in each corner, and a Helio G80 Gaming Processor that can handle and perform a range of tasks.

A large 7100mAh battery, an 8MP front, and rear camera, and Dual Mic Noise Cancellation round out the features, making it suitable for all of your electrical needs.

It is powered by a 2.0GHz MediaTek Helio G80 octa-core processor and comes with either 3GB/4GB RAM and a storage of either 32GB/64GB/128GB internal storage.

Conclusion

The realme Pad has two colors available the Real Grey and Real Gold.

It comes in three variants: 3GB+32GB available for P10,990, 4GB+64GB for P14,990, and 6GB+128GB for P16,990.

The tablet performs admirably. The tablet may, as its name implies, be a true all-around gadget. Thanks to its 10.5-inch 2k display, it’s extremely useful as a multimedia device.

The sound quality is excellent. The audio is loud and clear. Because of the quad speakers on both sides of the tablet, it is also balanced and very immersive.

Design & Build

The tablet’s frame and back panel are made of aluminum making it really look high-quality and lightweight as well.

The WiFi, Bluetooth, and LTE antennae are hidden on one side of the Pad’s rear panel.

The Pad has a boxy frame that’s just under 7mm thick, keeping it true to its high-end appearance. On the back panel, there’s a bulge for the 8-megapixel rear camera, as well as a line for the antennas and realme branding at the bottom.

A USB-C port is available for file transfer and charging.

A NanoSIM card slot for LTE connection.

There have been no accessories announced by Realme for their first tablet, which is kind of unfortunate this time.

Adding a variety of accessories to improve the tablet’s functionality, such as a kickstand or wireless keyboard, could boost its appeal, particularly for homeschooling and light office and productivity tasks.

Display

For somebody who has an iPad mini at home, the large 10.4-inch Full WUXGA+ IPS display of the realme Pad becomes a huge upgrade.

While the 2k resolution and colors aren’t as vivid as those found on more costly tablets with AMOLED displays, realme selected a high-quality IPS panel which is, I think, is good enough.

The realme Pad comes pre-installed with the all-new realme UI for Pad, which is easy to use and feels fluid as well. That being said, the realme Pad is not just a fun tablet for entertainment use, but also a device where you can get some light work done.

Slight difficulty with the viewing angle also exists. The display will change, and it looks bad if you are not looking at it straight.

Battery

A large 7100mAh battery ensures that the power lasts longer.

During the course of the review, we discovered that the tablet was capable of playing video for about 13 hours straight.

It has an 18-watt wired charger, and it took us approximately 2 hours to fully charge the battery.

Interestingly, the Pad has a fun little feature that has been available in most high-end Android devices for quite some time. The realme Pad also has the capability of reverse charging!

So, if your smartphone runs out of battery life, you can simply connect it to the realme Pad through an OTG data connection and use it to recharge it.

Audio

The tablet supports Dolby Atmos which is remarkable for its immersive sound quality. You’ll surely enjoy watching your favorite Netflix series experience.

In order to provide an immersive audio experience, the tablet is equipped with Quad Speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Certifications.

Aspects such as adaptive surround sound are supported as well. Consequently, no matter how you hold the pad, the greatest stereo surround sound will be delivered.

The Pad does offer a headphone port if you prefer your wired headphones and a little bit of privacy. This is good when you want to enjoy watching without disturbing your sleeping wife.

Less the lack of accessories available for the realme Pad, the tablet is one of the best in multimedia consumption. I enjoyed using the tablet mostly on YouTube videos and Netflix movies. Click the link below to check to price on Shopee.
