We already had quick preview and a little hands on while on-board PAL from Davao to Manila in April about this next Ultrabook by Acer – the Aspire S5. Well, it has become official and available in stores now.
Launched yesterday at the Mariott Hotel the Acer S5 Ultrabook will have Intel’s 3rd generation Core i7-3517U processor and a 4GB DDR3 RAM.
Acer Aspire S5 is no longer shipping with a hard drive instead it will have pure SSD at 128GB. The only flavor with a 13.3-inch Acer CineCrystal LED display having a 200-nit high brightness.
Unique Feature
What separates this Ultrabook among its competitor is the hidden ports. You can only see very few visible ports and button within the body – the power button, the card reader and the audio port. You will find a special button which you presume as the power button on the upper right corner of the keyboard. That button when pressed will show the hidden ports at the back of the ultrabook.
