Apple launches MBP Retina with Faster Haswell and More RAM!

Apple has upgraded the specs of the Macbook Pro Retina line up!

A new Hashwell processor is now powering the new MBP Retina line up, and the RAM has been upgraded too. The 13-inch has now 8G RAM, the 15-inch has 16G RAM.

Here’s the upgraded specs and pricing.

13-inch Macbook Pro Retina

  • $1,299 — 2.6 GHz dual-core i5 processor, 8 GB RAM, 128 GB flash storage
  • $1,499 — 2.6 GHz dual-core i5 processor, 8 GB RAM, 256 GB flash storage
  • $1,799 — 2.8 GHz dual-core i5 processor, 8 GB RAM, 512 GB flash storage


15-inch Macbook Pro Retina

  • $1,999 — 2.2 GHz quad-core i7 processor, 16 GB RAM, 256 GB flash storage
  • $2,499 — 2.5 GHz quad-core i7 processor, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB flash storage

On the customized order basis, Apple has included  a 3.0 GHz dual-core i7 processor on the 13-inch model and a 2.8 GHz quad-core i7 processor on the 15-inch model. And for both 13 and 15 inch models, a 1TB flash storage is now available.

Of course the there is a price rollback for the 13-inch non-Retina MacBook Pro. From $1,199 it is now sold at $1,099.
