Free wi-fi on busses in the Metro? Check. On taxi? Possible. While on-board a plane? Check!

CebuPacificAir, the company that started a low-cost Piso fare will now bring Internet in the air. Beginning 2013, CebuPacific will offer OnAir Wi-fi service to its passengers. Passengers can update their FB stats, upload Instagram photos, Tweet and call their offices and friends via VOIP.

Cebu Pacific’s A330 fleet is scheduled to have Wi-Fi installed mid 2013. This in time for the airline’s initial deployment of long haul services. By putting up On-air Wi-fi, Cebupacific Air becomes the first Low Cost Carrier in the South Asia Pacific to offer internet connectivity during flights.

So next time you will be on board Cebupacific Air and you are travelling to the Middle East, Australia, parts of Europe and the U.S., your tablets, notebooks and android phones will be connected to the internet.

The company has also plans to implement the same service on their short haul flights in the next phase.
