So the LG G2 flaghship smartphone has made quite a lot of noise recently, our traffic increased surprisingly, Globe has limited stocks, plus you cannot find casing for a relatively new smartphone. But we manage to get a really good deal about my LG G2.

LG G2 Price Philippines, LG G2

The official SRP of LG G2 is P27,990, you can now get it from leading stores nationwide. You get the unlocked version in that price, no telco contracts, you can put any SIM you like depending on which telco has a strong LTE in your location. Freedom! But at the price of P27,9990, a regular working mom or a supervisor will think twice first. That’s a lot of hard earned money to let go in exchange for a power-packed smartphone. But for this official price, you get the official warranty from LG.

Options.
Get it from the gray market vendors. Kimstore now offer it for only P22,400 In this price, you get Kimstore warranty only, or what they call store warranty. If you get a problematic unit, you have it serviced by Kimstore. Same terms applies to other gray market vendors such us Widget City, CMK Cellphones and HotGadgets.

Surprisingly, the rival online store Widget City has not posted about LG G2 recently. They have offer for Samsung Note 3 though.

HotGadgets’ price of LG G2 is a little bit higher than Kimstore. They offer it for the price of P23,480.
LG G2 HotGadgets

Another online vendor offers it at P26,650. CMK Cellphone price is so much close to the official SRP, but they promise the warranty fro LG.

Where to get LG G2 for only P10,400?
Good question right? Get it from Globe. Thats the short and sweet answer.

But wait, what? Globe said, its free under Postpaid Plan 1799! How did I pay P10,400 if it was free in that plan?

There is a good story to share about the purchase. It turned out that my Note 2 contract was only 12-month old, so I can’t renew and get the LG G2 free. So, what I did was to settle for the pre-termination fee and proceeded to renew another contract with Globe.

While its FREE under plan 1799, you will be contracted for 24-months. That is two years of relationship with the telco but, there are options. You see Globe now offers Postpaid contract for as short as six months. They got 6, 12, 24, and 30 months, you can choose which one is convenient with you.

So when I agreed to pay for the pre-termination fee, I thought of getting a 12-month contract so that I can get a new phone every year. Unfortunately, I have to shell out cash for the LG G2 if I opt for a shorter lock in period. Luckily, the price of LG G2 on a 12-month contract under Plan 1799 is affordable. Not too expensive at P10,400 only.

I agreed, signed up once more and went home with LG G2 for only P10,400.

You can check out Globe MySuper Plan and create and customize your postpaid plan here – http://www.globe.com.ph/postpaid.

Where to buy casing for your LG G2.
The next concern you like to address next is the casing, you don’t like your LG G2 to get scratches and protect it to sudden bumps here and there. So I had to shop for an affordable casing too. I went around the usual stores I’d go – Glorietta, Makati Square and Greenhills but I just wont find casing. Its too early I guess for the suppliers to bring it to the stores. But there is one Korean store I found through a referral, this guy from Yahoo! Philippines told me to go to Makati Golf Driving Range, its behind RCBC in Makati. At the 3rd floor of the driving range, at the far left you will fine AndroPle. Its a gadget store owned by a Korean national and he sells quite number of LG phones including the 16G with microSD slot, and a replaceable battery version of LG G2 which was released only in Korea.

They got three different kinds of casing for your LG G2. They have online store in Sulit too. I got mine for only P600. My casing is the Nekeda case.

I’m on my second week of using the LG G2, and here’s my initial impression of the smartphone – it is super awesome, takes really good photos, very fast, not too big, not to small to handle, battery life is longer, but your have to manage it well.

Here’s one sample photo I took yesterday, it is already a DLSR-like photo.

So there, now you know where to get LG G2 for only P10,400 and where to get the limited stock casing from Androple.
