Cheapest touchscreen phone at MWC2014 – Nokia Asha 230

The most affordable touch screen to be announced at the Mobile World Congress 2014 is from Nokia. The Nokia Asha 230 is only priced at USD62 or about P2,766.75.

Nokia also announced that it will immediately available in most market including Asia-Pacific, Europe, India, Latin America, and Africa.

With Nokia Asha 230 users can create their own wallpapers because of the motion app for Asha. Fastlane and the signature Asha UI lets users switch faster between apps. Nokia Asha 230 comes pre-loaded with apps like Twitter, Facebook, Whatsapp, Direct Chat, and Viber.

Nokia will also give away 7GB of free storage on the recently-rebranded Microsoft OneDrive cloud service for the Nokia 230 users.

The Nokia Asha 230 has a full-touch display with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. It has 64MB RAM and 256MB of native memory which is expandable up to 32 GB via a microSD card. The Nokia 230Asha comes with a 1.3MP camera on its back. A removable 1020mAh battery powers the cheapest Asha 230.

Nokia Asha 230 will be available in black, white, red, yellow, green, and blue.
