Epson’s new Workforce Enterprise AM series includes the A3 Color Multifunction Printers AM-C4000, C5000, and C6000.
This new line of inkjet printers for businesses aims to be a more practical and cost-effective alternative to laser printers by incorporating novel solutions and a space-saving design.
Business printers churning out 30-50 pages per minute currently make up the bulk of the A3 color printer market.
Epson’s current A3 color printer lineup consists of the 26 ppm Workforce Pro Replaceable Ink Pack System (RIPS) Printer and the 60 ppm to 100 ppm Line Inkjet (LIJ) Printer.
Epson’s new WorkForce Enterprise AM series fills a void in the market between 30 and 60 ppm and gives consumers an alternative to laser printers.
Companies will benefit greatly from the newer speed ranges because their offices typically require mid-speed printers for printing general office documents.
Instead of using the current WF-C20600 LIJ printer, you can switch to the AM-C6000.
Compared to its predecessor, the AM-C5000, the AM-C6000 can scan an A4 page in two minutes and twenty seconds.
The AM-C6000 is much lighter and smaller than its forerunner, requiring only 99.4kg of installation space as opposed to 177.1kg.
The screen size is increased to 10.1 inches, and the TEC is lowered from 0.41 kWh to 0.25 kWh as a result.
The WorkForce Enterprise AM series touts new solutions designed by Epson to create a better experience for customers.
Users can now make PDFs that can be searched without needing extra software. They can do this right from the device. This is a very helpful feature for people who want to scan documents directly to shared folders or email addresses. Users can easily find a document in a folder by searching for words or characters with the new OCR option. This makes things easier for users because they don’t have to look through folders by hand to find the file they want. It also has a copy-and-paste function that makes it easy to get information from a document.
By removing any red marks or notes, the “Erase Red Color” function lets users return black-and-white documents to their original state. This function is good for schools, where teachers and students often use red ink to make notes or mark up worksheets. The Erase Red Color function lets users scan the original marked copy and then digitally erase any red markings to get a clean document, so they don’t have to make a separate document by hand.
*OCR, Erase Red Color, and EPA solutions have extra fees that users can choose to pay for depending on their needs.
Epson’s specially designed print management solution lets you print documents securely and automatically send them to the right people using an authentication function. This keeps confidential information from getting out. Users log in to the device with an ID card or PIN to use features that are allowed or to let their own print jobs go. Epson Print Admin (EPA) also lets the IT administrator set rules and quotas to control how much they spend on printing. Cost management and security auditing can be done with reports that can be made to fit specific needs.
The WorkForce Enterprise AM series comes with two new finishers: an inner finisher that is installed directly in the main unit and a staple finisher that doesn’t need an external bridge unit. For folding and making booklets, a saddle unit can be hooked up to the staple finisher. With an optional upgrade, both finishers can be used to punch holes. The shape of the printers has been changed to make them “softer.” Sharp corners have been replaced with smoother, rounded-in edges. The capacitive 10.1″ touch panel is bigger than the ones that came before it, and it can now be tilted to make it easier to use. The new Graphic User Interface (GUI) makes it easy to find functions and gives users the option to change how their touch panel looks.
Optional hardware like extra paper trays, an inner tray, a lock for the paper cassette, an authentication device table, and Wi-Fi are available for expansion and scalability.
The new printers have fewer parts that need to be replaced, which means less maintenance is needed over the life of the product. Since the printers need fewer supplies to work, they make less waste overall. Together, the simplified GUI and remote monitoring through Epson Remote Services (ERS) make printing easy and convenient.
Epson’s Heat-Free Technology powers the New WorkForce Enterprise AM series. This technology removes all heat from the ink ejection process, so the printers use less power than laser printers on the market. At the bottom of the home screen, you can check how much power the printer is using. When printing or copying in a duplex, a green leaf icon shows that you are saving paper.
“We are confident that our new WorkForce Enterprise AM series will be a strong and affordable alternative to laser copiers. Incorporating innovative solutions with a strong focus on
