Globe Stores are undergoing MAJOR renovation. Something you'd want to see!

Over the weekend, Globe Store North Edsa was talk of the town. The netizen brought it again to the social media by using the hashtag #Gen3NextAct. Mall-goers and usual loyal Globe customers were surprised to see one of the biggest and busiest stores of the telco CLOSED!

What’s even more surprising was what happened after…

Instead of the usual board-up, the Globe team held an event titled “GEN3 NEXT ACT (Art + Community + Technology)” and worked together with award-winning Filipino artists led by Ross Capili to do live art installations for the public’s appreciation!

So what brewing up at Globe Stores?  And where are they taking the next ACT to? Here’s our inside story:

If you’re familiar with the iconic Apple stores (yes, the one that changed the retail landscape) and you love those, you’re in for a treat. The man behind the upcoming Globe store design is none other than renowned architect TIM KOBE, Founder and CEO of Eight Inc.!

Tim Kobe is responsible for the designs of the Apple Stores, the Nike Concept Stores, Coke, Knoll, Virgin Atlantic Airways, and Citibank.

Here’s what he has to say about the upcoming Globe store:

They’re taking their next ACT to Cagayan De Oro. Watch out Limketkai Mall-goers, Globe is going to be bringing in top Filipino artists to perform at the Globe store’s facade.

No word yet as to when this will open, but one thing’s for sure — We’re all very excited to see how Globe will CHANGE retail here in the Philippines!
