Here’s what we are subscribed to – Globe Tattoo Home Plan 1599, under this plan I get to enjoy up to 5Mbps Internet speed that comes with a free (ProLink) Wireless Router, and a Globe landline that has full pack features including unlimited calls to Globe and TM subscribers and Globe landlines nationwide. (Now, I can call my mom anytime on her Globe prepaid in the province. 😉 )
Monthly Service Fee (MSF) is P2,299 P1,599.
Installation was quite fast, the crew has put up everything in less than half an hour. The Home WiFi was immediately became available while I had to wait 24 hours for the activation of my landline’s unlimited call features.
Tattoo Home Plans
For those who are interested to get a Tattoo broadband, they have the following plans – Plan 999 – up to 1Mbps, Plan 1,099 – up to 2Mbps, Plan 1299 – up to 3Mbps, Plan 1599 – up to 5Mbps, and Plan 2499 – up to 7Mbps.
Note that you are not assured of the maximum speed but by experience you will get 90% most of the time. Check our Speed test result below.
Speed Tests
I run speed tests most of the time and I’m happy that I am getting an average of 4Mbps. The lowest that I get is around 3Mbps but even in that speed, I can still feel the difference of having a wired Internet access versus the wireless connectivity.
At home, I have 5 connected devices – my (1) Macbook Air, which I used most of the time in blogging, proposal creation, emails, and social media updates. I also have (2) iPad mini which I use in reading eBooks before I sleep, (3) a smartphone, (4) Smart TV – I play YouTube clips here to watch tutorials online, and another (5) smartphone as review unit.
My housemates has also their own connected devices totalling to four – two smartphones and two tablets.
With these devices all connected to one Wireless Router by Tattoo Home, we still enjoy fast Internet speed. LTE is much faster than this, the only issue I have is the consistency because it is wireless, there are times that speed would go crazy and really slow down big time. But with wired broadband, I experience a consistent speed daytime or night time.
I will post monthly update about this subscription so that you are updated about Tattoo Home. We will post regular speed tests and engage the customer service if there are issues they need to address.
Meantime, I am a happy subscriber. I don’t have to worry about FUP because I have unlimited Home Internet. I will only use by data subscription when I am out on a coverage, meetings, and perhaps trips.
