Globe Telecoms have been innovating and creating value added services for its customers. Recently, they launched another batch of Apps both for iOS and Android following the launch of GCASH Amex Virtual Card. Click here for details about the GCash AMEX Virtual Card.

GServices, GMovies, and GMessage are free apps downloadable both in iTunes and Google Play. The apps are pretty straightforward, GMovies lets you buy movie tickets in all Ayala Malls and SM Cinemas. Paying can be done via MPass or Credit Card. It is just odd that GCash facilities was not used in buying movie tickets.
GMessage is an app similar to WhatsApp, you can send free message with people running the same app, or you pay .25 cents per message you sent to a recipient not using GMessage. You message goes to your recipient’s inbox like a regular SMS message. GMessage is not only limited for Globe subscribers.
GServices however is the app that I like. You can check your Postpaid balance and whatnots. Currently available in iTunes (for iDevices only), but Globe promises to create another version for the Android users.
Telcos have to evolve from just being a telco and introducing Apps like these can really make a difference. Hats off to the men behind the Globe App suite!
