About 1,000 Jollibee locations around the country now accept cashless payments thanks to a partnership with Visa, the global leader in digital payments.
For the first time, Filipino customers can pay at a Jollibee restaurant with a credit card.
Visa and Jollibee have teamed up to host a promotion called “Tap-Sarap with Visa,” powered by Maya Business.
Spend at least PHP 500 on meals using a Visa prepaid, debit, or credit card at any participating Jollibee store in the Philippines between February 15 and March 1, 2023, and pick from a free Cheesy Yumburger, Jolly Spaghetti, Tuna Pie, or Peach Mango Pie. This offer is valid for both in-store and to-go purchases, as well as those made through the drive-thru window.
As a result, the cooperation demonstrates the increased demand for cashless payments among Filipino consumers. Eighty-four percent of Filipinos had already attempted to go cashless in 2021, according to Visa’s most recent Consumer Payment Attitudes Research, which polled 1,000 Filipino respondents in August and September 2021.
Findings from this research also show that card purchases (both online and at physical merchants) continue to be one of the more preferred options, even among the numerous cashless payment options.
“We are inviting everyone to celebrate the month of love with their family and friends with this exclusive deal from Visa and Jollibee. With the acceptance of Visa cards at Jollibee in the Philippines, we hope to encourage more Filipinos to experience the benefits of going cashless, such as enjoying a hassle-free experience when paying for goods and services. We are excited to roll out cashless payments with Visa to more Jollibee stores in the future,” shares Jeff Navarro, Visa Country Manager for the Philippines and Guam.

“The aim of our partnership with Visa is to provide our loyal customers with a more enjoyable and convenient dining experience. There are many benefits to going cashless and for this love month that includes treating our valued customers with their favorite Jollibee snack,” says Dorothy Dee-Ching, VP and Head of Marketing of Jollibee Philippines.
