Lenovo PH launches the third generation ThinkPad X1 Carbon in the Philippines in their new corporate office in Taguig. Lenovo Philippines has just moved to its new office at the 10th floor of 11th Corporate Center, 11th Avenue corner Triangle Drive, Fort Bonifacio.
The new ThinkPad has a new keyboard layout, the old Caps lock is already gone. To activate caps lock, you have to press the Shift key twice.
The physical functions keys are also gone, it is now replaced with what Lenovo calls the adaptive keyboard feature. It is a soft touch panel that changes its function depending on the app or software you are using. The function keys are still there and you can configure it to be the default setting.

The new X1 Carbon now employs gesture control, which is best for small group presentation. It has a QHD touch display more better than the Retina of Mac giving 2560 x 1440 screen resolution.
Configuration starts with Intel Core i5 processor, 4G of RAM, 256G of SSD and comes with Windows 8 Professional series.
Battery can last 8 hours featuring a 30-minute rapid charging that brings the X1 Carbon into 80% battery charge.

It has 2 USB 3.0 ports, Bluetooth 4.0, and in a higher configuration, has NFC enabled.
Weighs only 128kg, Thinkpad X1 Carbon is very light. Lenovo claims it to be the world’s lightest 14-inch ultrabook.
Availability and pricing
Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon is already available through its corporate resellers. Pricing starts at P96,990 with Core i5 configuration, 4G RAM and 256 SSD storage. For the Core i7 configuration, price starts at P130,000.
