New Windows 8 Devices in the Philippines, #Windows8PH

Users of the worlds number 1 OS was not the only happy people yesterday as Microsoft Philippines launched Windows 8 officially in the Philipines. Major PC vendors were excited too, there are several devices showcased in the launch of Windows 8. They will have individual launches in the coming days. Among them is the eye-catching Iconia W510, this is call the real “transformer”. Opps! Transformer was used by Asus, but yes, when I saw the Iconia W510 I was amazed.

Top brands like Toshiba, HP, Asus, Acer, Samsung, Dell and Lenovo has something new to offer. Nokia for its part is also introducing new Lumias with Windows 8 and a wireless charging feature.

To get you pumped up for the upcoming Windows 8 devices, here are the quick list of them to be available in the last quarter of 2012, all of them are pre-loaded with Windows 8 OS. Most importantly, these devices are all touch-screen enable devices.
Acer Iconia W510
The Acer Iconia W510 tablet PC delivers ultimate flexibility and performance in three different modes for an optimum experience with touch, typing and viewing. 10.1-inch HD Gorilla Glass 2 display provides convenient 10-point touch, vibrant visuals. Dell XPS 12 (November/December 2012)

Aside from these PC’s, Nokia is coming back with their Lumias.. The Lumia 920 and 820 was shown to us yesterday. These are equally exciting smartphones as it features wireless charging.


Overall, Windows 8 is an exciting and promising OS coupled with the touch screen PCs that are coming out in the next few week. We have experience the beta version of Windows 8 in our Acer S3 and it was really nice and fast. You will appreciate it more with the touch screen features!

Microsoft offers a very affordable upgrade for as USD14.99 for Windows 8.
