Starmobile Diamond V3 Review

The local playground for the Android smartphones is filled up with lots of choices making it a competitive market for the consumer. Today we give you our review of the Starmobile Diamond V3, the little brother of the phablet Diamond V7. Starmobile launched 11 smartphones five months ago, that includes this  5.3-inch Diamond V3.

It is currently out in the market bearing the SRP of P8,9999, available in black and white versions. It has the core features that you need in an Android phone, plus the rear shooter has 12MP + BSI camera, the front “selfie” camera is 12MP with BSI too.

We can’t take just sitting down without having to put the Diamond V3 on a photoshoot, so here we go first with our Unboxing photos. Actual size can be browsed in our Flickr account.

I like it that the box contains all the needed information about the phone, the spec sheet is well-printed at the back and selling features are boldly printed in front. It comes with a free 8G microSD for your additional storage requirement.

Volume rocker is at the left side and on the opposite is the power button, on top of the phone is the 3.5mm audio jack and the micro-USB port for charging and mostly for transferring files and photos to your PC.

The standard package comes with the the usual stuff – microUSB cable and charger, manuals and warranty card, the headset that I never use and, Starmobile included two more FREEBIES: One, 8G microSD card which attached already in the phone, and a silicon case. The screen, although protected by Dragontrail glass, Starmobile also threw away a free screen protector pre-installed already. Very generous of you Starmobile!

The Diamond V3 looks gorgeous enough and its form factor reminds me of the the other  smartphones brands like Cherry Mobile Omega and a little like the Note 1, only thicker by a few millimeter.

  1. I got my unit sa SUN and wala pang 1 month nagka problema na sa touch screen. and because it’s beyond 7 days na di na raw i rereplace ng sun yun… so i need to wait for 2 mos to get it back. Honestly, a cheap phone is not worth the hassle. Go for the free samsung unit instead kahit na lower specs. I learned my lesson the hard way.
