Tweeting the Winning Attitude of Chink +

Chinkee Tan (wealth coach, bestselling author, sought-after motivational speaker and award-winning radio host) firmly believes that, as long as there is one poor person, it is his life mission to help people break free from poverty and enjoy prosperity in life.

As somebody once wrote, “Do all the good you can, in all the ways you can, to all the people you can, in every place you can, at all times you can, with all the zeal you can, as long as ever you can.”

Chinkee is a man in hot pursuit of this “all you can” mission… and the Internet is his mission field.

It is estimated by Digital Filipino that, by 2014, Filipino Internet users can reach 41 million. According to surveys, almost 70% of young Filipinos consider their mobile phones as their most important device. So, how does Chinkee reach out to this exponentially growing wi-fi generation?

Other than his website, Chinkee also tweets his daily “Chink+” inspirational quotes to his more than 12,000 followers on Twitter (@chinkeetan). Those quotes are not random quotes. After condensing his positive thoughts within 140 characters, he would have his editing team review his quotes. After tweeting a quote using his iPhone, he would retweet every retweet of his followers throughout the day. He personally does the retweeting to really make sure no one misses out. He also started live tweeting (@ChinkPositive) his famous “Chink Positive” radio program, which is aired every Sunday, 6AM-8PM, over 92.3FM Radyo Singko. It’s becoming a booming Chink+ Twitter community.

Chinkee’s approach is among the best “people engagement” practices in Twitter as far as social media experts are concerned.

According to Internet marketing guru, Ben Francia, “?Regular tweeting allows you to consistently communicate with your target audience. It’s also a means of stimulating social signals for your brand – a way of appeasing the search engines.” (Online Presence Assessment Kit) In his 10 Easy Ways to Optimize Your Twitter Strategy,” social media expert Pat Owings wrote that “retweets… keeps [our] engagement rates up.” In doing so, his Twitter followers feel so valued. Also, preparing his quotes ahead of time, Chinkee makes full use of what Francia calls an “editorial calendar”: “?Having an editorial calendar gives your online presence direction in terms of content. It also gives you the chance to make content ahead of time and have it scheduled for consumption by your target audience.” (Online Presence)

In one of his latest Chink+ quotes, he tweeted, “Nobody loses in the game called life but only those people who quits.” And with the way he is tweeting, Chinkee shows no sign of quitting at all. Only winning.
