Your phone hits 15% at 3PM. You still have a client call, a commute home, and a group chat that won’t stop buzzing. You start dimming the screen, closing apps, and hunting for an outlet at the coffee shop. That’s the daily anxiety this HONOR 600S review puts to the test. HONOR built this phone around one promise: an 8100mAh battery that carries you through two full days. It skips the flagship camera hype and the high-res screen to get there. The lesson here is simple: know what you need from a phone before you pay for what you don’t. If all-day (and next-day) power matters most to you, keep reading.
HONOR Philippines launched the HONOR 600S 5G on October 1, 2026, at ScreenX, SM Mall of Asia. It starts at ₱18,999, and pre-orders run until October 9 with free gadgets on both variants. We spent time with the Desert Gold variant to see whether HONOR’s “Anything Is Possible” slogan holds up in daily Filipino life.

Unboxing and First Impressions
HONOR packs more into the box than most brands do these days. Inside you get:
- HONOR 600S 5G
- 45W HONOR SuperCharge charger
- USB Type-C cable
- TPU protective case
- Screen protector film and battery cover protective film
- SIM eject pin
- Quick guide and warranty card
The included 45W charger and case mean you can use the phone right away without extra spending. That’s a plus for budget-conscious buyers.

In hand, the HONOR 600S weighs 216.5g. If you’re coming from a lighter phone, you’ll notice the heft. It makes sense once you remember the 8100mAh battery sitting inside.

Design and Build Quality
Our Desert Gold unit uses a premium plastic back with the HONOR inscription on the lower left. A fine metal frame wraps around the sides and gives the phone a solid, well-built feel. The square camera island houses two lenses and an LED flash, and the flat back keeps the overall look clean.

HONOR placed the fingerprint scanner on the side, built into the power button. You can unlock the phone one-handed without adjusting your grip.
Durability is a highlight on paper. The HONOR 600S carries IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings, so it can handle dust, water submersion and high-pressure water jets. HONOR also cites SGS 5-Star Drop Resistance certification. We did not run drop tests on our unit, so we're taking HONOR's certification at face value here.
Display
The HONOR 600S has a 6.872-inch TFT LCD with a 1592 x 720 resolution. That works out to about 254 pixels per inch, and you will notice it. Text and images look softer than on a Full HD screen. Coming from a sharper display, the 720p panel feels underwhelming.

The good news: the screen supports up to 120Hz. We kept it on the Dynamic setting, which lets the phone adjust the refresh rate for smooth scrolling while saving battery. Brightness reaches 860 nits typical and 1,020 nits in high brightness mode. We had no trouble reading the screen outdoors, even under daylight.
HONOR adds Eye Comfort mode and Dynamic Dimming for long viewing sessions at night.
Performance
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 powers the HONOR 600S. Qualcomm announced this 4nm entry-level 5G chip in December 2025, and it pairs two Cortex-A78 cores at 2.3GHz with six Cortex-A55 cores. HONOR runs the efficiency cores at 1.95GHz.
We focused our testing on everyday use rather than gaming and benchmarks. Multitasking held up fine. Switching between Messenger, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube felt smooth, with apps reloading without long waits. For the social media, streaming and messaging routine most Filipinos follow, the HONOR 600S keeps up.
Software and User Interface
The HONOR 600S runs MagicOS 10 based on Android 16. Bloatware remains part of the package. Several pre-installed apps came on our unit, and we uninstalled the ones we don't use. Plan to spend a few minutes cleaning up after setup.
HONOR hasn't announced its OS update and security patch policy for the Philippine unit yet. We'll update this review once HONOR confirms it.
AI features
HONOR puts AI front and center with what it calls "Ultimate AI":
- AI Image-to-Video 2.0 turns still photos into short video clips
- Moving Photo Editing
- AI Photos Agent
- Magic Color
- Magic Pose
- AI Work Tools
AI Image-to-Video 2.0 worked well enough for us. Keep in mind that the feature runs as a trial, so you get a limited number of generations. It's fun for social media content, but don't expect unlimited use.
Cameras
The HONOR 600S uses a 50MP main camera (f/1.8) paired with an auxiliary lens (f/3.0). There's no ultrawide, and zoom tops out at 8x digital.

This is where you need to set your expectations. Our photos from the main camera came out underwhelming. Images lacked sharpness, and colors didn't pop the way we wanted. Video recording also caps at 1080p 30fps, which limits what content creators can do.

The 5MP selfie camera performs as you'd expect from its resolution. It handles video calls, but selfies for social media look soft.
Camera modes include Portrait, Night, Pro, High-Res, Panorama, Slow-Mo and Timelapse. If you plan to shoot for TikTok, Facebook or Instagram, the built-in AI editing tools help you polish content after you shoot.
Battery Life and Charging
The battery is the reason to buy the HONOR 600S. Its 8100mAh cell gave us two full days of normal use on a single charge. That means social media, messaging, YouTube and calls without reaching for a charger by evening.
The included 45W HONOR SuperCharge charger refilled the large battery fast. For a battery this size, fast charging matters, and HONOR delivers it right in the box.
The phone does not support wireless charging. At this price point, few buyers will miss it.
Connectivity and Audio
The HONOR 600S covers the essentials:
- 5G support with dual nano-SIM
- Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) on 2.4GHz and 5GHz
- Bluetooth 5.1 with LDAC, aptX and aptX HD support for higher-quality wireless audio
- NFC for tap-to-pay and NFC tags
- IR blaster to control your aircon or TV
- USB Type-C 2.0 with OTG support
The phone has stereo speakers tuned with HONOR Sound 7.3. There's no 3.5mm headphone jack, so you'll need USB-C or Bluetooth earphones.
Verdict: Is the HONOR 600S Worth It?
The HONOR 600S is a balanced phone with one clear strength. The 8100mAh battery lasts two days, the 45W charger fills it up fast, and the IP69K and SGS-certified build gives you peace of mind. Multitasking across social apps runs smooth, and HONOR includes a case and charger in the box.
You need to set your expectations, though. The cameras are underwhelming, the 720p display looks soft, and video stops at 1080p 30fps. Bloatware also needs some cleanup.
Best for:
- Young professionals and SME owners who stay online all day and can't afford a dead phone
- Students and freelancers who spend hours on social media and streaming
- Anyone who wants a tough, water-resistant phone with long battery life
Not for:
- Mobile photographers and content creators who need sharp photos or 4K video
- Users who want a high-resolution screen
Pros
- 8100mAh battery lasts two days of normal use
- 45W charger and TPU case included
- IP68/IP69/IP69K rating and SGS 5-Star Drop Resistance
- Smooth multitasking across social apps
- Metal frame and side fingerprint scanner
- NFC and IR blaster
Cons
- Underwhelming main and selfie cameras
- 720p display looks soft
- Video capped at 1080p 30fps
- Bloatware out of the box
- AI Image-to-Video 2.0 limited as a trial
- No update policy announced yet
If battery life tops your list, the HONOR 600S earns a spot on your shortlist. Check the latest price and launch deals on Shopee and Lazada.
