To mark the debut of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, the Pokémon Company has launched a new commercial starring “ITZY,” a five-member girl group from JYP Entertainment, on its YouTube channel. In the first 15-second and 30-second clips, ITZY features five members of ITZY dancing to “WANNABE.” All of ITZY’s members may be seen enjoying a good time playing Pokémon Legends: Arceus together in this commercial.
PokemonLegendsChallenge” is also being hosted on TikTok, a video-sharing platform that allows users to create short videos. Itzy will challenge the original effect that allows users to snap a remembrance shot with Pokémon against the wonderful beauty of the Hisui Region, the stage of the game’s adventure, in a series of TikTok movies.
Interview with ITZY
- How do you feel about this shoot?
Leah: I grew up watching Pokémon since I was a kid, so I’m very happy to have a tie-up! I had a lot of fun during the filming (laughs). Originally, I liked Snorlax, but I fell in love with Eevee during this shoot… (laughs)
Ryuujin: It was a great honor and a strange feeling to be a model for a commercial of Pokémon, which I’ve loved since I was a child. - Have you ever played a Pokémon game?
Yeaji: I remember walking around and catching Pokémon when “Pokémon GO” was even more exciting than it is now! I think I mainly caught the cute ones.
Ryuujin: I was always playing with a game console when I was little.
Chae-ryong: I was addicted to “Pokémon GO” and once walked around Gangnam Station with YoonA on a cold winter day. It was fun to see so many new Pokémon, different from my usual commute, and we often walked around even though it was cold!
YoonA: When I was a trainee, I got hooked on “Pokémon GO” with my sister Chae-ryong, and I remember walking around Gangnam Station with her, trying to catch Pokémon with more enthusiasm than anyone else.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus is a fusion of “action” and “RPG” that challenges the expression of the new Pokémon series.
The Hisui Region, a Stage for Adventure and Magnificent Nature
Before “Pokémon Diamond Pearl,” the story takes place in the Hisui Region. Mount Tengan stands in the middle of the Hisui Region, surrounded by a variety of distinct regions. Each region has its own distinct characteristics, and each has its own Pokémon ecology.
