Huawei’s current Rotating Chief Executive Officer and Deputy Chairman of the Board, Mr. Hu Houkun (Ken Hu) announced through his New Year’s message that the third largest smartphone company had shipped a whopping 153 million smartphones last year, compared to 139 million units that sold on 2016. He also shared that the annual revenue has been increased by 15% and aims to be the number-one smartphone maker by 2021.
