Here’s what changed
Noticeably, according to the early reports, the Nokia 6 2018 has a revamped 18:9 Full HD display. It turns out they stay with the 16:9 display. The processor of the Nokia 6 2018 was upgraded from Snapdragon 430 CPU with Adreno 505 GPU of the first gen to the newer Snapgradon 630 with 508 GPU.
They made the variants more unified on the new gen of 6. Both Black-copper-accent and White-pink-accent colors are both equipped with 4GB of RAM and with 32GB and 64GB internal storage colors.
Both device’s cameras haven’t changed in terms of their megapixels, they were both with a 16MP rear camera and 8MP front camera. Nokia added the “Bothie” feature (that is present on Nokia 8 and China-exclusive Nokia 7) to the second generation of Nokia 6.
Bluetooth was also updated to the newest version, the Bluetooth 5.0, which it can be connected up to distance of 300 meters or 985 feet (4 times of the last version).
They moved away from the capacitive buttons in favor of on-screen navigation. And they moved the fingerprint sensor to it rear side below to the cameras.
When Nokia 6 (2017) launched in China, some online sellers in grey markets made sell its Chinese variant for about P16,000, but later on, the global version was made available officially in the Philippines for about P11,990.
On the other hand, Nokia 6 (2018) made it’s debut for ¥1,499 (Php 11506.71) in China. We can safely assume that the guestimate of this phone could be around P13,990-14,990. This could be change when it arrives on our shores. Who knows, this could be even cheaper.
This is only a guestimate. It is not an official pricing. We will be updating this page as soon as the device made it available globally.
