In case you are not good in looking around and trying to find this sticker pins, there are areas that are already LTE- activated. Initial areas where the stickers have been distributed include Hard Rock Café at Glorietta 3, The Old Spaghetti House along Valero St. Makati, Barcino restobar at Fort Bonifacio Taguig, T.G.I.Friday’s at Robinsons Galleria Ortigas, and Orchard Road restaurant at SM Megamall Mandaluyong.
In an effort to improve LTE coverage, Smart announced that it will soon deploy LTE on Band 3 (850MHz).
“The opening of Band 5 gives our LTE network unmatched coverage and capacity. This is all part of our efforts to continue providing our customers the highest quality wireless experience,” said PLDT-Smart Technology Group Head Rolando G. Peña.
The announcement of the addition of Band 5 came just a few days after the Smart bolstered its Band 1 (2100MHz) LTE service with the addition of Band 3 (1800Mhz).
Smart is one of the first in the world to offer commercial LTE, joining the ranks of Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Australia and Singapore, and the only one to use LTE in three bands.
