Acer has recently unveiled its latest additions to the wireless router lineup, catering to gamers, families, and remote workers.

The Acer Wave 7 harnesses the power of Wi-Fi 7 technology to provide extensive coverage for large households with multiple devices, whereas the Predator Connect W6x utilizes Wi-Fi 6 to enhance speed and performance for seamless online gaming.

The W6x offers dual-band connectivity through 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies for consistent signals, while the Wave 7 goes a step further by supporting up to 6 GHz of Wi-Fi 7. Both routers feature Hybrid Quality of Service (QoS) software and the Intel Killer Prioritization Engine to optimize network traffic speed and reduce latency.

With user-friendly interfaces, setup and management are effortless, and built-in Trend Micro Home Network Security ensures protection against potential threats for both the network and connected devices.

“We are excited to expand our wireless router offerings with new options that cater to a wide range of gamers, families, and home-based professionals,” said Wayne Ma, General Manager, Connectivity, Acer Inc. “These routers leverage the latest Wi-Fi technologies to deliver seamless connectivity and come with practical features that ensure ease of use while prioritizing network privacy and security.”

Acer Wave 7: Connected Home of the Future

The sleek Acer Wave 7 leverages the state-of-the-art Wi-Fi 7 standard, delivering lightning-fast speeds of up to 6400 Mbps with exceptional dependability and minimal delay. It is available in two configurations: a combination of 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz or a combination of 2.4 GHz and 6 GHz, allowing users to optimize performance according to their specific requirements.

The Wave 7 makes use of 320 MHz channel support and Multi-Link Operations (MLO) technology, enabling devices to simultaneously transmit and receive data across different frequencies. This greatly enhances throughput, reduces latency, and minimizes interference. With its innovative mesh system, the Wave 7 can be expanded by adding additional access points, ensuring seamless Wi-Fi coverage throughout the entire home or a large area.

Moreover, the Wave 7 is equipped with three Gigabit Ethernet ports that offer switchable WAN/LAN capability, providing flexibility in network configuration. Additionally, it incorporates built-in Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) security, offering users added peace of mind.

Predator Connect W6x: Smooth, Uninterrupted Gaming

Designed with gamers in mind, the Predator Connect W6x boasts Wi-Fi 6 support, delivering speeds up to 6000 Mbps. Armed with a powerful quad-core processor, 1 GB of DDR4 RAM, and 256 MB of ROM, this router prioritizes near-zero packet loss for smooth, uninterrupted gameplay. Plus, a LED light indicator on the cover shows the netword connection status to offer a convenient visual cue.
Gamers can take control of their network remotely with the Predator Connect utility app downloadable on smartphones or tablets starting in July. The Predator Connect W6x also features a generous selection of ports, including four Gigabit Ethernet ports for LAN connectivity and a single 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port for WAN connectivity.
