AOC enters tablet market, brings 7-inch and 8-inch Android to PH market

The monitor maker AOC which is the top brand in Brazil has entered the tablet market by introducing to the Philippines two models. Branded as Breeze tablet, AOC Philippines has launched Breeze MW731+ and Breeze MW0831.

Powering the tablets are ARM Cortex A9 dual-core and quad-core GPU (KR3066) processor, both models come with 8G internal storage which is expandable to 32G via microSD, 1G RAM. Standard connectivity like WiFi, Bluetooth and 3G dongle support (for 8-inch model only) are included, no rear cameras though only front-facing camera. There is also an OTG support which includes a cable to both models but the 8-inch has an edge by having a mini-HDMI port.

The 7-inch AOC Breeze MW0731+ has an SRP of PhP5,999 while the MW0831 gets the price tag of PHPp8,999. AOC promises that customer will get the same support for its monitor customers as they got 29 AOC service centers nationwide.

AOC executive present at the press event today told us that AOC Breeze tablets are selling 300,000 units per month in Brazil, so they expect that Pinoy consumers will pick it up as they offer affordable Breeze tablet in the Philippines. Both models are already available at authorized retailers nationwide.  EA Global Supply Chain Solutions, Inc. distributes AOC Breeze in the Philippines.
