A Sydney-based collaboration software company has expanded their first office in the Philippines at the Bonifacio Global City.

Atlassian has setup its office here to support the company’s rapid global expansion. The PH office will focus on expanding Atlassian’s human resources, finance, systems support and customer service divisions. With nearly 40 employees currently based in Manila, Atlassian plans to grow the new office by nearly 50 percent over the next six months

“Opening this new office in Manila was a strategic decision for Atlassian,” said Bennieson Co, head of Atlassian’s shared services division in the Philippines. “The Philippines’ bustling economy, proximity to mainland Asia and highly talented knowledge base make it a great place for software companies to grow their global business. Opening our first office in the country is just one of many milestones we are eyeing here this year.”
Atlassian has had another strong year with a total revenue for its fiscal year ending June 30, 2014 at USD$215 million – a 44 percent increase over the previous year of USD$149 million. It added 300 new staff bringing the total worldwide to more than 1,000, and it opened a new office in Austin, Texas, bringing the total to six offices around the world.

During the press conference held at their office, the executives of Atlassian told us that they are growing their PH manpower which is currently has 40 all-Filipino employees.
The office offers a non-traditional setup where employees can come in their casual attire.
