Design and build

Cherry Mobile gets my respect in this category. When compared to the past models that Cherry Mobile has released, the Aqua S10 Pro has a more modern look.

In short, the Cherry Mobile Aqua S10 Pro’s design can go head to head with the current contenders in the market today. You can flaunt it and people will comment “Ganda ng phone mo ah.. Cherry yan?? “Di nga!?!”

The phone comes with all the camera modules you need for your media content, a 48MP + 5MP ultra-wide + 2MP depth sensor + 2MP macro rear cameras, LED flash.

The camera UI looks boring. This comment is inherent to the fact that the devices come with bare Android 11 software. No customized skin or whatsoever.  So, even taking photos or videos, you’ll have a learning curve.

But the Chinese brand has the upper hand in terms of specs. That includes 180Hz touch sampling rate, a little upgraded chipset (Helio G90T), a 2GB difference in RAM, a higher megapixel rear camera plus the ultrawide lens.

In terms of pricing, there is a P2,000 price difference. The Infinix Note 10 Pro is priced at P9,990 vs the Aqua S10 Pro which is sold at P7,999.

Conclusion

The Cherry Mobile Aqua S10 Pro outperforms its predecessors. I really admire the smartphone’s appearance and construction. It can compete with the market’s other players. Other features worth mentioning are the 30W quick charging and wireless charging.

What I wish for Cherry Mobile to invest in is the software. It is time to put some marketing budget on the UI to further improve its overall presentation.
