Internet of Things (IoT) Conference 2024 revs up the movement toward smarter IoT-ready Philippines

Packetworx is at the vanguard of bringing forward-thinking Internet of Things (IoT) solutions to the forefront of the digital transformation taking place in the Philippines through the Internet of Things (IoT) Conference 2024.

Taking place today at the SMX Convention Center, the Internet of Things Conference 2024, which will last for two days, will have the subject “Connected Ecosystem in Building the IoT-Ready Philippines.” IoTCon is a dynamic and crucial platform that brings together industry leaders, government representatives, and worldwide IoT stakeholders to converge, interact, and investigate the potential of connected technology.

The Internet of Things Conference 2024 is more than simply a conference; it is a movement with the goal of establishing a healthy and united Internet of Things ecosystem in the Philippines.

The primary objective of the Internet of Things Conference 2024, as stated by Ms. Raisa Orbon, Chief Marketing Officer of Packetworx, is to “drive the expansion of Internet of Things solutions in the Philippines by creating a collaborative environment where local and global stakeholders can connect, share insights, and explore innovative technologies.”

This year’s event, which will run until the 30th of October, is being held in conjunction with Browan Communications and the Department of Information and Communications Technology. This event marks a significant turning point in the nation’s efforts to achieve digital transformation, particularly in vital areas such as public utilities, smart cities, and disaster management.

The Internet of Things Conference 2024 expands upon the success of past editions by delving further into important Internet of Things applications and technology breakthroughs. “Compared to last year, IoTCon 2024 offers a broader scope and more strategic content,” Orbon stated in his presentation. She then stated that “This year, we are featuring roundtable discussions where participants can engage directly with LoRa Alliance members, government bodies, and industry leaders.”

The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) provides an overview of the road map for constructing an Internet of Things (IoT)-ready Philippines in opening remarks and keynotes. Arnold Bagabaldo, the Chief Executive Officer of Packetworx, gives a presentation on the progress that has been made in the Internet of Things (IoT) and the areas that need to be collaborated on by the government, the private sector, and international partners in order to promote digital transformation and ultimately improve the quality of life for people.

The Interim Chief Executive Officer of LoRa Alliance, Alper Yegin, discusses the role that LoRa Alliance plays in actively impacting innovation and Internet of Things adoption on a global and ASEAN scale. LoRa Alliance is promoting the LoRaWAN standard in order to ensure that feature updates are implemented that meet the requirements of growing markets. Henry Huang, CEO of Browan Communications, discusses the progress that has been made in various areas, including platform development, end-to-end system integration, and support for sustainable Internet of Things networks.

During this year, the emphasis placed on LoRa (Long Range) technology and the participation of the LoRa Alliance have been among the most notable highlights. For scalable Internet of Things deployments, LoRa technology, which is well-known for its long-range and low-power characteristics, is essential. This is especially true in the areas of smart city infrastructure, agriculture, and environmental monitoring.

Packetworx’s ambition to bring the Internet of Things to life has become inextricably linked to the LoRa Alliance on a global scale. In his explanation, Orbon stated, “The participation of the LoRa Alliance makes the event more credible and expands its reach across the world.” At their shows, they will present cutting-edge use cases for LoRaWAN, ranging from disaster management systems to smart energy solutions.
