PAL to use iPads for in-flight entertainment

It is high time that airlines should upgrade their entertainment systems including their value-added services. Earlier this month Cebu Pacific Air announced that they will offer Wi-Fi services on their flights. For a sum of money you get to use your tablets or laptops while on-board.

Today, rival airline Philippine Airline announced that their planes will use Apple’s iPad for their in-flight entertainment, soon.

PAL will be the first in Asia to innovate and offer this in-flight entertainment system. iPads on their flights will be loaded with the latest full-length movies, TV shows, music, and games. Yes, you can play Angry Birds or Fruit Magic while on-board. It will also have digital copies of newspapers and magazines.

But, its not FREE.

This service will only be available in all trans-Pacific flights.
