We posted two days ago about the LTE invasion in Baguio for the Panagbenga 2012. I brought my LTE dongle so that in case we check out coffee shops in the city we can do a little hunting for the LTE.

This trip to Baguio was arranged by my friends, I wasn’t included in the planning, so everything from hotel room and itinerary were arranged by them, I just had to say yes. But I have no complaint, the hotel is very convenient and near where the bus station is. You can walk to SM Baguio and to Victory Liner. The organized trip is awesome I guess! Thanks to the team of Tintin & Soleil, of course to Leslee and Jun.
Now back to the hunting for the LTE. While at Chalet Hotel Baguio in Military Road, LTE is nowhere to be found. I only got HSPA signal which is decent enough to make this post. I’m guessing that the LTE signal is available only in the area near the city.

Above image shows the speed provided by the hotel to all guests, common areas like Dulcinea Coffee shop, the hotel lobby, and rooms are covered by free internet.

Above is the fastest speed I got from my LTE dongle.
I did not check out other places to check the LTE signal so this post will not determine the LTE signal in Baguio. This is the experience I got from Chalet Hotel.
I’ve no more time to do some testing by tomorrow since it is the Grand Float Parande of Panagbenga Festival, and we are scheduled to leave after lunch.
