Sony announces two mid-ranger devices, the Xperia R1 and Xperia R1 Plus in India.
Both the Xperia R1 and Xperia R1 Plus features a 5.2-inch compact IPS LCD screen with Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC, paired with Adreno 505 GPU. The difference are the storage and RAM.
The Xperia R1 has 16GB internal storage and 2GB RAM, while the Xperia R1 Plus sports a larger 32GB storage and 3GB RAM. There’s a microSD card slot that supports up to 128GB.
Camera-wise, both the 13-megapixel rear and 8-megapixel front sensors supports predictive auto-focus, except the former is accompanied by an LED flash.
To complete the basic features, it is backed up by a non-removable 2,620 mAh battery, FM Radio, USB Type-C and runs on Android OS v7.1 “Nougat” that is upgradable to Android OS v8.0 “Oreo”.
The Xperia R1 costs at INR 13,990, while the Xperia R1 Plus is priced at a more INR 15,990.
