Aside from the fact that I really love my Logitech M235 mouse, the brand that is headed by its CEO Bracken Darrell is also rebranding. Logitech is dropping the “tech” in their name and it will be known as “Logi” (pronounced as lodge-ee).
This was revealed by Darrell to adapt to current naming conventions like Apple’s Siri and FeDex.
“This is not just a one-year move, but a move for what we’re going to look like in the next decade,” explains CEO Bracken Darrell. “Tech as we used to define it is moving into everything. We think having something called ‘tech’ is going to look 1980s pretty soon if it doesn’t already.”
Logitech brand has been in the industry for over 30 years connecting people through computers.
