Hugo Barra is in town today to launch Redmi 1S in the Philippines. It is the second device of Xiaomi to be sold in the Philippine market as of today.
Barra did not disclose how many units of Redmi 1s will be allocated as it goes on sale on September 4 via Lazada. Redmi 1S is priced at P5,599. In Malaysia, Redmi 1S is priced at RM419 which is P5,811, that means the PH price is still cheaper.
Xiaomi Service Centers
Xiaomi has put up seven service centers already in the Philippines, 53 drop off points and 40 Smart stores. Very soon the company will open an exclusive Mi Service center in Greenhills. The Chinese company is promising a fast 2-hour repair for every Xiaomi device you bring for repair.

Value-added service
Hugo also mentioned that in case you brick your Mi smarpthone because you probably rooted it and installed different ROM, just bring it to Xiaomi service centers and they will repair it for free.
