BillEase, iPay88 team up to boost cardless BNPL for enterprise via OpenFabric

Billease, the most popular BNPL and consumer finance app, has partnered with iPay88, a leading payment gateway provider, to give businesses more payment options for their customers. In concert, they plan to usher in a new era of BNPL services for businesses across the country.

BillEase is an adaptable financial app that facilitates a wide variety of financial transactions, including personal loans, e-wallet top-ups, prepaid load, gaming credits, bill payments, and a one-of-a-kind shop now, pay later service. With this ground-breaking addition, customers can use BillEase as their go-to app for financial services despite not having a debit or credit card.

Since 2012, iPay88 has been supplying cutting-edge payment solutions to thriving businesses in the e-commerce and m-commerce sectors as a leading regional payment gateway provider. iPay88’s widespread coverage of the Philippines makes it an ideal partner for expanding BillEase’s BNPL offerings to local retailers.

The collaboration will provide an improved level of service for both customers and business owners. At checkout, both online and brick-and-mortar stores can now offer customers three payment plans: Pay Later in 10 or 20 days, Pay in 4 installments for small to medium ticket purchases, and Pay Monthly over three, six, nine, or 12 months for large purchases at interest rates ranging from 0% to 3.49 percent.

Since its start in 2017, BillEase has partnered with more than 3,000 businesses in many different fields, such as technology, home goods, health and wellness, higher education, restaurants, retail, and more. BNPL is the most widely used app of its kind in the Philippines. It is supported by nine of the most well-known payment processors in the area.

Georg Steiger, CEO and Co-Founder of BillEase, said, “This partnership highlights our shared values of providing light and easy payment options for retailers and their customers. With iPay88, BillEase can offer inclusive options for retailers, especially enterprises, to help them grow and thrive even more.”

Using the integration stack developed by Singaporean tech firm OpenFabric, iPay88 was able to incorporate BillEase’s payment methods in a matter of minutes. While traditional integrations can take months to complete, merchant technical teams can deploy a BNPL solution in as little as one to three days with the help of the Open Fabric integration.

“We are proud to accelerate the growth of payment acceptance via our simple and quick integrations. With merchants saving developer time, they can focus on building trust with their customers who will have peace of mind knowing that they are using secure payment services,” Soma Ramasamy, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of OpenFabric said.
