Microsoft announces Facebook Messenger for Windows Phone

The long wait for the Windows Phone users is over as Microsoft announces the availability of the Facebook Messenger for Windows Phone.

The same FB messenger that the Android and iOS users have been enjoying for a long while now will be available in the Windows store within this week.

Facebook Messenger Features:

  • Open your messages without opening Facebook.
  • Chat with groups and make plans on the go.
  • Send stickers
  • Send photos privately
  • Chat heads, go on chatting while using other apps.
  • Text your phone contacts, even if you’re not Facebook friends.
  • Share your location so people know when you’re nearby.
  • Record voice messages.
  • Free calls to your FB friends anywhere in the world.
  • Know when people have seen your messages.
  • See who’s available on Messenger and who’s active on Facebook.
  • Stay logged in so you never miss a message.
  • Turn off notifications when you’re working, sleeping or just need a break.

  1. Integrated Chat on Messaging still works for me.. nasanay na noong WP7 pa lang but for the rest I guess it would benefit them new WP users na dating “iPhone and Android worshippers”. 🙂
