Facebook apologized on inverted Philippine flag during Independence Day 2016

Facebook greeted the Filipino people on the 118th Independence Day today. However, the netizens were quick to notice the inverted colors of the Philippine flag.

Instead of the blue color on top, Facebook mistakenly put the red on top.

Before the Independence day celebration ended, the local agency of Facebook reached out to Tech Patrol News to share the official statement from their client.

We asked them for the name of the spokesperson but they could not identify.

As for Google, they did the usual drill of putting up a special image on their home screen. The image shows the iconic jeepney loaded with passengers. On it are the logo of Google and the Philippine flag.
