An internet company, as they would like to be known for, Flash 3C, officially launches Flash Plus 2 in the Philippines today.

Flash 3C becomes an independent company that will offer midrange products with affordable price tag. You may recall that in our report about Alcatel Idol 4S, the executives of Alcatel clarified that the Flash brand will be carried by an independent group already.

Today, Flash 3C confirmed that news.

They will continue the Flash brand plus more.

In the pipeline are the upcoming Flash 3 and Flash Plus 3, and they will also release action camera and VR headset products.

The Flash Plus 2 is a total revamp from the previous version Alcatel Flash 2. You will remember that the Flash 2 is made of plastic.

The Flash Plus 2 is made of metal and has a unibody design.

The additional feature like fingerprint scanner located in front is a welcome development while keeping the price still affordable.

The Flash Plus 2 is powered by a 64 Bit Helio P10 octa-core processor with Mali T860.

The rear camera features a 13MP f/2.0 OV13853 w/ Mixed AF, while the front has 5MP f/2.2 wide-angle selfie camera.

For the audio fans, there is also an AKM4375 DAC and NX9890 amp.

Interestingly, the device will be shipped with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.

Dual SIM and microSD support are also provided for and it is a 4G/LTE device, so expect for a high-speed internet moving forward.

Flash Plus 2 pricing and availability

The 16G version goes on sale on May 31 through Lazada. SRP is P6,990. A month later the 32G will follow through with the official price tag of P8,490.
