Google’s Pixel and Pixel XL now a reality

google_pixelGoogle did not stop by just creating the most popular Operating System in most of smartphones today. Now, Google also made its own hardware with the Google Pixel.

Two models are coming out to the market, the 5-inch Pixel and the 5.5-inch Pixel XL.

There are three colors to choose from – Quite Black, Very Silver, and Limited Edition Really Blue.


Since this is made by Google, Pixel comes with Unlimited cloud storage courtesy of Google Photos. All your images and videos can be uploaded to Google Photos in full resolution.

Internal storage of the Pixel starts at 32GB.

Google Pixel is also the first Android device that ships with Google Assistant, the counterpart of Apple’s Siri and Microsoft’s Cortana.

And surely Pixel will get the latest OS, the Android 7.0 Nougat.

It has USB Type-C for fast charging and file transfer. Google claims the phone can sustain 7 hours with only fifteen minutes of charging.


The cameras of the Pixels is armed with 12.3MP on the rear with F/2.0 opening and features phase detection AF (PDAF) and laser detection AF (LDAF). It can record 4K video at 30fps.

The front camera has 8MP with F/2.0 aperture and can record full HD video at 30fps.


A non-removable battery powers up the Pixel. The 5-inch gets 2,770 mAH and the 5.5-inch has 3,450 mAH.
