I don’t know about you but as for me, I like riding with premium and high-end cars, specially when you have your own driver. Feeling rich, yeah!
You too can enjoy the same with Grab Car’s latest service called Grab Car Plus (GrabCar+).
Natasha Bautista, Acting General Manager for Grab Car Philippines said in the press conference held at ASpace Makati on February 18, 2015 that the Grab Car business has been growing in the Philippines and they got several request to include high end cars into their service.
This year they are granting the request of the riding public, the new service will be called GrabCar+, and yes you will see that tab in your Grab Taxi App which is available both on iOS and Android devices.
Cashless transaction coming up!
To make it more convenient to both the driver of the Grab Car and the high-end customers, they are going to add cash-less transaction very soon. Credit Card and Debit Card will be accepted.
This service though have been in practice already with the taxi in Davao as early as two years ago. But it is just about time that the cashless transaction be implemented in Metro Manila. This will lessen the cases of hold-up incidents with the cab drivers.
“We are excited to open GrabCar+ to our GrabPeers. Together, we can offer more travel options to our customers and bring them to their destination in the fastest, most convenient, and safest way possible,” Natasha said.
Grab Taxi Drivers earn more
During the launch, we spotted few of the Grab Taxi partners with their drivers. On a separate taxi ride, I asked the driver who serves both Easy Taxi and Grab Taxi which is better service in terms of additional income to them. Manong driver said, Grab Taxi is better because he gets additional income from it.
Riding an H3 from Makati to Ortigas for only P220
Grab Car Plus features special cars from time to time. If you are lucky enough you get vehicles like Nissan Patrol, Hummer H3 or Mini Cooper.
During the launch Grab Car Philippines let us experience how it is to ride a Grab Car Plus service. Lucky for us we got the H3. We computed how much it is to ride the service from Greenbelt 5 to Greenfield in Shaw Blvd., it only cost us P220. There were three of us in the car.
Grab Taxi Philippines also clarified that they have been working with the LTFRB (Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board) for them to comply with the government requirement for transport services like this.
