This must be the trend for today’s smartphones – make it affordable & bring it to the masses. The Chinese phone manufacturer Huawei has announced recently the availability of Huawei Ascend Y210D, a dual-SIM card smartphone that will retail for only P2,990. Affordable or not?

Here’s what you get from this Gingerbread smartphone from Huawei. A 3.5-inch screen, a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 processor, a 256MB RAM and 2MP camera rear camera. So basic, but it won’t hurt your budget for the price point. Battery is 1700mAh only, that means you have to carry your charger with you always.

It is now available in major stores nation wide according to PTB: MemoXpress shops (nationwide); Globotel Greenbelt 1, Bluelite, 2823 Sta Lucia, BSD SM Megamall, Techno Mobile, Comcentre, and Mobile Networks in Metro Manila; RC Goldline shops in Cebu; and Tekpone shops in Davao.
