Is it?
In the branded series of smartwatches, the Huawei GT2E, price wise is a very, very good pick.
It is also a lightweight given that the size is huge versus the competition. After the initial configuration, all you need to do is use and enjoy it.
But is it worth your money?
But first the specs.

Unboxing
Aside from the tech in the watch, what I liked first and foremost in the GT2E is the charging port.
The USB Type-C charging port is heaven-sent.
You can see our rant about devices, especially smartphones this year having MicroUSB as their port. Hello Sony ZV1!
But the G2TE charging port is very simple and it attaches to the watch using a magnet. Any available cable USB Type-C lying around your house can be used to charge the battery of the smartwatch. It can be connected to any available port — even the ones on your laptop.
Lots of features
The GT2E has a long list of features.
For a person like me who just monitor heart rate and the number of steps, the GT2E is an overstatement. I also liked that I can locate the phone I paired with this watch. The breathing exercise is a very functional feature when I want to simply relax.
But for advanced users, you can do a lot of things with this watch.
You can monitor your workouts, record your running courses, monitor your indoor or outdoor run, indoor and outdoor cycles, swims, mountain hikes, trail run, and a lot more.

Verdict
This is a highly-recommended smartwatch. For only P6,990 you will get a whole bunch of features available in those equally-expensive branded smartwatch in the market today.
There is one minor issue that I am concerned with.
Compatibility.
Because Huawei is now pushing for its own Mobile Services, the GT2E might not work with other Android phones. (See my initial video setup for reference).
The Huawei Smartwatch GT2E could be this year’s best bang for the buck smartwatch.
