Mt. Mayon in Albay

I always go home to my province at least twice or thrice a year. Oh, by the way I am a full blooded Bicolano, I don’t eat lunch without a “sili” in my “ulam”.  Last December was the most exciting vacation for me. First, because Mt. Mayon was erupting and I already have my dSLR. Second, (sorry to the locals around Mt. Mayon) like any other tourists, I too was excited to shoot the Mt. Mayon during its eruption. However, I was booked on a later date so when I finally get back home, the eruption is almost finished. The activity of the volcano is no longer as active as it was weeks earlier.

Anyway, here are some photos of the Mt. Mayon, including few shots of the Cagsawa Ruins in Daraga, Albay.

Albay is a 10-12 hour drive via provincial bus from Cubao or Pasay. While Cebupacific has two (2) flights daily, Manila – Legaspi vice versa, and it will only take you about 45 minutes to get there.
