The Sigma 18-200mm f3.5-6.3 is my second lens. It has really become my walk around lens so far. If your budget is tight this lens will be your baby.
I got this from my friend who is also into photography and his SLR body is Canon EOS 40. When he upgraded to 18-250mm I instantly became the recipient of this lens.
