OnePlus 5T is now official! The said flagship smartphone has been the subject of massive leaks during the past few days. It is the first OnePlus device to feature FullView screen that results in an 18:9 display with 2160 X 1080 pixels.

Talking to the screen itself, the OnePlus 5T features a massive 6.01-inch AMOLED screen, protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 panel. Due to the handset’s bezel-less design with minimal bezels on the top and bottom, the previous Home button is now gone, prompting the fingerprint sensor to be located at the back. Face ID is another method of security in the OnePlus 5T as it unlocks the phone in just 0.4s, making it one of the fastest facial recognition features today.

Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset, the OnePlus 5T comes in two RAM variants, depending on the storage capacity: 6GB with 64GB, and 8GB with 128GB. Sadly, no microSD card slot again. It ships with Android v7.1.1 “Nougat” with OxygenOS on top, and is surely upgraded to Android v8.0 “Oreo” this early 2018. Oreo-beta testers to begin next month.

Going to the camera, the rear comes in two lenses: the primary 16-megapixel with Sony IMX 398 sensor and the secondary 20-megapixel with Sony IMX 376K. Both cameras will have a bright f/1.7 aperture to ensure a better imaging in low-lighting conditions. For video recording, the OnePlus 5T can shoot 2160p (4k) videos at 30 fps, 1080p (FHD) at 60 fps and 30 fps and 720p at slow-mo 120 fps. Selfie camera sports a 16-megapixel lens with Sony IMX 371 sensor with f/2.0 aperture.

A new feature called Sunlight Display, that automatically adjusts the contrast of the screen to get a better viewing experience, especially in direct sunlight. It is better to use while we are playing games, opening the gallery app, taking photos and, recording games & videos.

The battery capacity remains unchanged at 3,300 mAh with Dash Charge support, 5V/4A to be exact and uses USB Type-C connector for faster transferring and syncing of files.

OnePlus 5T is scheduled to be available this November 21 in North America and Europe, November 28 (pre-order: November 21) in India, and December 1 in mainland China. Price starts at $499 on the base 64GB model, more than $20 as OnePlus 5 ($479) at the time of its released. Additional $60 ($559) for the 128GB variant.
