P50 Cancellation Fee suspended by LTFRB

The P50 cancellation and no-show fee by Grab which we featured in this article, is now canceled by the Land Transportation and Regulatory Board.

The suspension happened after the agency called all representatives from RYD, OZTECH, OWTO, HYPE, Grab, Hirna, E-pick Me Up, MICAB, GoLAg, iPARA, and OWTO.

While the LTFRB is looking into this policy, the agency also takes into consideration its mandate to ensure the protection of the interest of its most important stakeholder, the riding public. The LTFRB is mandated to ensure that Public Utility Vehicles (PUVs) charge reasonable fares. – LTFRB

The Board and TNC representatives came up with an agreement to form a Technical Working Group to address the new fare policies and other issues concerning the subject matter.
