THE PROFESSIONAL networking site with currently 225 million members and growing has put up a localized version for the Filipino members. Effective now, all Pinoy on LinkedIn may opt to use the local Tagalog language.
According to LinkedIn, there are already more than 6 million LinkedIn members in the Southeast Asian region; the PHILIPPINES having over one million members, which lead them to launch the Tagalog language.
It is fun to use and challenging at the same time as Filipinos are used to English language. To change your current language to Tagalog, you have to go to the Settings and at the bottom menu, you will find the Language menu.
In addition to the 225 million users, LinkedIn has also accumulated 3 million company pages. LinkEd in is very useful to promote your online CV’s, most of the modern employers and head hunters look at your professional experience there. I got several calls from head hunters before who told me they saw my profile in LinkedIn.
